Motivational page, The Website, Scholarships, plus send me your group!

Yes, it's a new year, Nontrads!

Are you motivated to go back to school? I have a good page on the site for you (below). Plus more tips.

You may be reading this at the Non-traditional Student website.

This site for Nontraditional Students,  will be updated for 2018 this year. In the meantime, there are some good links and pages here.

Here are some of my favorites:

Nontraditional Student Scholarships to check out, Page One and Page Two, plus a page to help you Get Motivated. I hope to also add pages this year here.

If you have a Nontraditional group at your school, drop me a line at lizann 447 at yahoo dot com (no spaces, etc.), and I will add your link and message to your State Page here.

In the meantime, for the Nontraditional Students in school right now, I hope things are going well.

Feel free to post at the Blog Page under Comments.

Nontraditional Students, find scholarships, and save money going back to school.

Find some Scholarships, Nontraditional students!
Finding a scholarship is like following a treasure map.

There are many scholarships available for older students - - more than ever. No longer do colleges and universities limit themselves to younger students. They know that more and more students today are older, nontraditional ones.

Here are just a few places to go to find these valuable scholarships, grants, and more:

#1. My Scholarship pages on the Nontrad Site - Scholarships Page One and Scholarships Page Two. There are some great links here.

Scholarships Page Two includes a special video about filling out your FAFSA. Also, there is a short article there about getting grants, how many scholarships you should apply for, and why using the correct FAFSA site is so important.

#2. Find specific scholarships at my Find Scholarships Blog. Just use the "search" function and enter the kind of scholarship you are interested in.

Good luck in your scholarship search, nontraditional students.

And remember, you CAN do it.

Plus, you can find help and support for your nontraditional student educational journey below on some more of my links.

Nontraditional Student Groups - are you a member?

Are you in a nontraditional student group?
This could be a group on a college campus, a trade school, or a community education school. It could be a face-to-face group where you actually physically meet once a week, once a month, or once a semester.

Your group might even be a group online.

Groups at schools and those online can be very helpful for nontraditional students. I can even see joining both for support. There is just something about a shared community that helps so much.

I have heard of nontraditional student groups at schools who actually have their own computer(s), study room, refrigerator, storage lockers, and school club mentors, who are usually staff members or teachers.

Many groups who are official join a national site like ANTSHE and award scholarships or recognition to high-performing nontraditional students too. More and more schools are becoming more aware of their older, nontraditional students and want them to feel at home and succeed.
A happy nontraditional student.

I commend all schools who are offering their nontraditional students help and support through the establishing of nontraditional student groups. It's such a good thing!

Are YOU in a nontraditional student group? Brag about your group, your state, and your school in a comment below this posting.

And here is something else: Find out about groups in your state by visiting the Nontraditional Student pages Map Page and clicking on your school or area. Is your group not listed? Just click here for instructions on how to list your nontraditional student group on the site.

Later!
