Are you doing what you want?

Ged Peck 2009 by Alex Calvert, on Wikimedia.org

This is a mini pep talk for those people who are going back to school after a break, and those who are not.

Are you doing what you want? It sounds like an easy question, but it's not. And the answers are also not easy.

I don't think many people are actually doing what they want - with their lives or with their jobs. What with real life, families, duty, and just needing a job (any job), people often settle for less than what they could have.

But it's hard to go to school AND have a job. Really hard. And it can be hard to just be back in school, period.

And when you are a nontraditional student, the problems associated with going back to school can multiply.

For those who have put many things on hold while they go back to school, I want to give you a pat on the back today. Because it is NOT easy.

And for those who just CAN'T right now, I totally understand. But you can still dream and plan for the day when you ARE doing what you want, or learning how.

It might not be today, it might not be tomorrow, but if you want it bad enough, you CAN make it happen.

Thanks for visiting the Nontrad Blog today.
