At this point in my life, the convenience of online classes trumps any benefit that F2F classes can offer. However, I do prefer to take more demanding courses; like math courses and science courses in person. Also it doesn't make much sense to take things like foreign languages and speech online (although I know that many college offer these subjects online). However I remember how there were several courses that I took F2F that should have been online...like my Java programming class and my engineering design class. Where I was always in front of a computer anyway.

I think that online learning is not for everyone though; even though it works for me. Online classes take an incredible amount of self-motivation and self-discipline. I am not the best at this myself. One too many times I've been working against the top to finish an assignment before an 11:59 deadline. Also many professors don't communicate as well or as often as they should online; leaving you to be the one to initiate discussion when you need help or when things aren't clear.

Many non-traditional students need adequate support. My advise would be to insure that this support is available before enrolling in online course. If it isn't (or if you have any doubts); opt for F2F instruction.Rishonahttp://www.rishonan.net/sitenoreply@blogger.com
